Once it was arranged, I became anxious. I've never been as far as Oz before, would I really want to attach my name to relentless reality TV? The conclusion is YES!
The first day of filming in the studio built in the jungle was breathtaking and exciting. I've analysed people here, more than I would've imagined. It's interesting to wonder why someone might feel comfortable to put on a bizarre exaggerated act in the way that Gillian seems to be. The whimpering is always replaced with a mischievous glint and smile when Linford wraps his alpha bulk arms right around her. I've enjoyed listening to the elders of the camp get their grump on and wonder how hard the experience must be if you were so set in your own ways. Though Shaun cracks me up and adds the type of relatable banter necessary and I love Stacey's caricature behavior my favourite is Brit Ekland. For Brit I would lay down the gauntlet, she's Hollywood glamour; wise, witty and wistful I think she's wonderful in fact. Anyone aged 68 and roughing it up in bug infested, damp jungle gets my vote.
If I'm honest, I don't think that I could handle the paranoia of a nation scrutinizing my every decision and squealing at the screen whilst I much on some animal willy. Think I'd get a bit cry baby, maybe? But good on the campers.. I salute them.
