Tagged as the next Mr Darcy we couldn't wait to see if brooding heartthrob Dominic Cooper was as dishy in person as he is in this year's must-see film The Duchess. He strolled in to meet us looking effortlessly cool and, despite all the hype about his new found sex symbol status, he turned out to be very sweet. He loved our selection of vintage clothes we had for him on the shoot, so much so he arranged a sporadic shopping trip with the stylist! He chatted to us about how much he loves the sunshine in LA in between shots and is a complete natural in front of the camera, although he confessed he hates doing interviews. After he spied one of our team's new Samsung mobile which he has been coveting we let him call the UK on it to do his interview. Good job he's so good looking it might make the pain of the huge phone bill a little more bearable!
Estelle
We had so much fun when we met Estelle and the soul singer arrived to meet us, friends in tow, bang on time. Estelle moved from the UK to the US a while ago so we had a box of all her favourite Brit treats put together including PG Tips, her favourite chocolate, Dairy Milk and Marmite which she hates but is trying to get all her friends to try. Gifts exchanged, we let Estelle's hair stylist and make-up artist, who we had flown in from New York, get to work before she started posing for the camera in a gorgeous pair of her own YSL shoes, some super sexy Topshop leather shorts, which she loved so much she took home with her, and a faux fur coat. Despite the 90 degree heat Estelle didn't complain once, even though we were melting! With Coldplay and The Ting Tings blaring out in the background she kept on waving to people on passing tour buses on Sunset Boulevard. What a pro!
